ELECTROSTATIC ESD

Description

ESD – (Electro-Static Discharge) electrostatic discharge involves the flow of charges between objects with different potentials. Today, in the age of miniaturization, voltages below 100V can be dangerous for various types of components. To avoid damage, electrostatic wristbands and special uniforms made of ESD fabric are used.

Weaving is used primarily in special EPA zones (ESD Protected Area) – this is a space where there are no objects or activities that cause damage to ESD-sensitive devices. The fabric is used in the automotive industry for covers for sensitive components, aprons for operating rooms, and for dividers for sensitive components.
